the pew center for arts and heritage through Dance advance
The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage through Dance Advance serves Philadelphia-area dance artists and nonprofit organizations engaged with dance as an art form. The
objective of Dance Advance is to support artistic excellence through projects that exhibit compelling methods of practice; maximize creative objectives for grantees; and stretch grantees to explore excellence, imagination, and courage in their work. Please read and consider the Guidelines carefully as there are significant changes to the application procedure this year. In this application cycle, the Letter of Intent to Apply (LOI) has become a pivotal document to be reviewed by a panel of dance specialists. Based on the LOI review, invitations will be extended to successful applicants for submission of a full proposal. For more information and guidelines click here.

The Surdna Foundation
Through the Thriving Cultures priority area, the Surdna Foundation is currently accepting letters of inquiry for the Teens Artistic Advancement initiative. This initiative aims to stimulate fresh thinking and new approaches to address the isolation and lack of opportunities for artistic advancement for young people from disadvantaged communities. Support will be provided to nonprofit organizations that offer programs where young people have long-term opportunities to create art with accomplished artists, often resulting in strong mentoring relationships, as well as organizations that create professional artistic development opportunities for staff. Letters of inquiry may be submitted at any time.
ethel louise armstrong foundation (ELa)
The ELA Foundation has a vision of “Changing the Face of Disability on the Planet”. We accomplish this through our grant and scholarship programs. The ELA Foundation grants funds for established programs in the areas of arts and advocacy to nonprofit US 501(c)(3) organizations, which are led by or support adults with disabilities who are 22 or older. The Arts in radio and television
The National Endowment for the Arts seeks to make the excellence and diversity of the arts widely available to the American public through nationally distributed television and radio programs. Grants are available to support the development, production, and national distribution of radio and television programs on the arts. Priority will be given to artistically excellent programs that have the potential to reach a significant national audience, regardless of the size or geographic location of the applicant organization. Innovation Lab for the Performing Arts Call for Proposals
EmcArts' Innovation Lab helps teams from nonprofit theater, dance, jazz and presenting organizations design and prototype new ideas and launch real-life projects that address major challenges facing arts and cultural organizations. Participants take part in a 12-month immersion program featuring an extended framework of individual coaching and group facilitation, guided by field research and led by EmcArts' expert facilitators.Professionally managed producing, presenting and service organizations in theater, modern/ contemporary dance, and jazz are eligible to apply for the Lab. New Art Spaces Nationwide
The Space for Change Planning and Pre-Development Grants will provide support for critical planning and pre-development activities that may precede partnering in or leading a facility project. All applicants must, at a minimum: demonstrate a track record of excellence in their programming and artistic production, be 501(c)(3) organizations that directly serve both artists and communities, demonstrate strong community ties, and have the fiscal and organizational capacity necessary to partner in or carry out a facility project.

Freedom to Create Grant
Freedom to Create awards grants to projects which use the arts to create transformational change in developing countries. Projects must fall into one of six sectors: Education, Health, Social Harmony, Urban Regeneration, Freedom to Create or Designs for Life and must use an art form to educate, build, heal or inspire people.
